Course Outline

This high-impact course focuses on making performance management a valuable, ongoing process that maximizes the performance of employees. You will gain an understanding of the performance management cycle, the necessary conversations, and the accountabilities of both managers and employees in making the performance management process successful.

Specifically, you will define what performance management is and is not, understand the importance of regular performance management activities and conversations, and learn how to create a climate for ongoing performance discussions. The importance of setting SMART goals will be explored, as will the impact of positive feedback on employee performance.
