Joan Vanden Hazel is Senior Associate, E-learning with MICA Learning at Knightsbridge in Toronto.
Prior to joining Knightsbridge, Joan held a variety of leadership roles in Corporate Training departments. Most recently she was the Senior Director of Training Solutions at CIBC. Prior to that, she was the VP of Learning Consulting Services for Provinent Corporation, an e-learning vendor. Joan has more than 25 years of experience in the learning field and has a specialization in technology-based learning. She has designed and developed learning for all mediums including instructor-led training, video, online, and webinar. She has designed a variety of strategic learning solutions, such as: a corporate training strategy, an e-learning conversion strategy, curriculum design, a measurement and evaluation strategy and plan, and LMS sourcing, selection and implementation
Joan has worked with a diverse group of clients, from Boards of Education, not-for-profits, financial services and banking, retail, telecom, hospitality services, pharmaceutical, manufacturers, and the federal government, and has worked throughout North America, the U.K., and Egypt.
In collaboration with one of her clients, Joan’s work won a GOLD award for Excellence in E-learning from Brandon Hall. In 2010 she was a judge for CSTD’s e-learning Award For Training Excellence.
