David Town, CHRP

David Town is an Associate Consultant with MICA Learning at Knightsbridge in Toronto.

As an Associate with Knightsbridge, David is a sole practitioner in Human Resource Management, with clients in the Greater Toronto Area as well as Southwestern Ontario. David has consulted in Strategic HR Management with small to medium size organizations and has been involved with the design and delivery of employee leadership and development programs across a variety of organizations. David has also coached senior leaders in business sectors such as retail, wholesale and professional services. Prior to opening his own consulting practice, David held senior HR positions in several prominent Canadian retail organizations.

David’s focus is on helping build individual and organizational capability. He is an experienced facilitator and consultant in the area of leadership development, focusing on performance-related communication, management skills and team dynamics. He excels at helping organizations achieve their objectives through effective management and development of human capital.

David has worked with organizations in a variety of sectors including grocery retail, pharmacy retail, apparel design and distribution, wholesale, professional services, insurance and not-for-profit.

With his years of experience as a lecturer at the Ivey School of Business, as well as at Seneca College, David recently authored a course on Performance Management as part of the Leadership Development Series program offered by Ontario Colleges. This course focuses on the practical design and implementation of an effective Performance Management Process to assist employees in the maximization of organizational performance.

David is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, completing his HBA in 1981. David earned his Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in 1995.
